BTC Prepaid

BTC Prepaid is an exciting home phone service. You will not receive a monthly bill and your total monthly costs can be controlled while enjoying the convenience of a phone service. The service deducts actual call costs from your balance.

Setup & Services Available

1. Creating the pin number
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt. When the voice prompt asks you to enter the telephone number you wish to call, you must press the hash (#)key.

• The voice prompt will then say “please enter your pin number”
• Enter any four numbers of your choice
• The voice prompt will say “ to confirm your pin number press 1”
• Press 1
• From then on your pin number will be the four numbers you entered, please don’t forget them.
• If you forget your pin please call 0800 800 800 or 121.
  
  Please enter your pin number with extreme care. If you enter you pin number incorrectly 3 times you will be barred and your account locked. You will be able to enter the correct number after 10 minutes.

2. Changing your pin number
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt. When the voice prompt asks you to enter the telephone number you wish to call, you must press the key.

• Enter your pin number.
• When you hear voice prompt options press 3
• Press 1 to change the pin
• The voice prompt will then say “please enter your new pin number”
• Enter any four numbers of your choice
• The voice prompt will say “ to confirm your pin number press 1”
• Press 1
• From then on your pin number will be the four numbers you entered, please remember your pin number.

3. Disabling your pin number
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt. When the voice prompt asks you to enter the telephone number you wish to call, you must press the hash (#) key

• Press 3 for personal options
• Press 2 to disable the PIN

4. Recharging your account

• Use a BTC Prepaid card.
• Scratch the foil off until you see the fourteen-digit number.
• Lift your handset and dial 1350 (before the voice prompt)
• The voice prompt will say “please enter your prepaid card number”
• Enter the 14 digit number
• Wait for the confirmation on your updated balance.
• Your BTC Prepaid Card will no longer have any value.
  
  Please enter your BTC Prepaid card number with extreme care. If you enter the wrong number three times you will be barred and your account locked. You will be able to enter the correct number after 1 hour

5. Checking your balance
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt. When the voice prompt asks you to enter the telephone number you wish to call, you must press the hash key.

• Enter your pin number.
• When you hear the personal options Press 2.
• Press 1 to hear your current balance.

6. Obtaining Transaction details

6.1 Last transaction details
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt. When the voice prompt asks you to enter the telephone number you wish to call, you must press the hash key.

• Enter your pin number.
• When you hear the voice prompt, press 2.
• Press 2 again to hear details of your last successful call.

6.2 Last three transaction details
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt. When the voice prompt asks you to enter the telephone number you wish to call, you must press the hash key.

• Enter your pin number.
• When you hear the voice prompt, press 2.
• Press 3 to hear details of your last three transactions
  

7. Speed dialing
Speed dial allows you to pre-program up to 10 numbers, which can be dialed by pressing a single number.

7.1 To set up or to change speed dial codes
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt. When the voice prompt asks you to enter the telephone number you wish to call, you must press the hash key.

• Enter your pin number.
• When you hear the voice menu options, press 4
• To add a new speed dial number press 5.
• To listen to all speed dial numbers press 1
• To enquire on a specific speed dial number press 2.
• To change a speed dial number press 3.
• To delete a speed dial number press 4.

7.2 To call using speed dial
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt. When the voice prompt asks you to enter the telephone number you wish to call:

• Dial your speed dial code
• Enter your pin number.
• Wait while your call is connected.
  

8. Making a call
Lift the receiver and wait for the voice prompt and follow instructions, which are:

• Enter the telephone number you wish to call.
• Enter your pin number (if you have one)
• Your call will go through
• You will only be charged once you are connected.

Emergency and BTC Service Numbers

• Police 999, Fire 998, Med Rescue 911, Ambulance 997
• Lift the receiver and dial the number before the voice prompt
• Your call will go through
• All emergency calls and service calls are free
